Formation:
Men and Women

"Women on Wednesdays" will begin a new book study on November 9th, 7:00 p.m., "Sacred Listening".   This is a contemporary version of the "Ignatian Exercises" -- a centuries-old method of scripture study, meditation and prayer.  This studywill likely run for several months, and once we've begun will be a closed group.

Education involves more than passing on information.  For personal change, transformation, to grow into the full stature of Christ, something broader is needed.  Formation is education including information, and soul training activities, in community.  And, all this happens seeking the Holy Spirit, the power of God.

Pre-Lent/Lenten Study
The Good and Beautiful Community by James Bryan Smith
This year, we're bringing back an older Anglican lenten tradition, Pre-Lent.  It used to be that the three Sundays prior to Ash Wednesday were a Pre-Lenten season.  Their focus was all about preparation for the season that prepares us for the yearly celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We will begin our book study with formation groups on Sunday's after worship (11:45-12:45), to be led by Pam Craig and Fr. Theron.  Books are available for purchase.
